WHAT WILL WE DO?

Each city has a different aroma and each perfume is reminiscent of a city.

We propose a sensory experience based on a box with seven perfumes that we will be analysing in seven beautiful corners of the oldest district of Granada, the Albaicín.

Multiple olfactory sensations to evoke with each of our fragrances; such as jasmine, a flower representative of the medieval quarters of Granada, orange blossom with the orange trees in bloom, a typical tree of the Albaicín. And obviously the queen of flowers: the rose, formerly used as an aphrodisiac and symbol of carnal passion in many cultures, which is also present in all the Cármenes and their gardens.

On this two-hour guided walk we will let our sense of smell guide us as our expert guide takes us back through the history of perfume to medieval Granada. To discover a time when perfumes were restricted to religious ceremonies and its evolution until perfume came to be considered a symbol of power and luxury.

Our guide will explain how perfume was part of the history and tradition of Al-Andalus, and we will learn about its origins as we visit the Albaicín's Cármenes, houses and gardens and learn about how fragrances are made.

The theory will be put into practice through the set of perfumes that we will bring with us during the visit to make it an immersive experience, ending with a master class in the "Patio de los Perfumes". A beautiful 17th century palace where we will be shown the art of perfume making from ancient times to the present day and the Nasrid perfumes in Granada.

We recommend bringing umbrellas in case of rain.

If you cancel at least 7 calendar days in advance, no cancellation fee will apply.

If you cancel between 3 and 6 calendar days before, a cancellation fee of 50% will be applied.

If you cancel within the previous 2 calendar days, a 100% cancellation fee will be applied.

Monument, attraction, theatre, show or coupon tickets are not refundable under any circumstances.

Tour or activity starting during a period of special events, including but not limited to trade fairs, national holidays or national celebrations, school holidays, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Ramadan: are not refundable under any circumstances.
