WHAT WILL WE DO?
We will start our journey from Seville by crossing the nearby town of Coria del Río on the banks of the Guadalquivir. From there we will enter the natural area to pass by the Dehesa de Abajo, a place located in the northern part of the marshes where we will see a great number of birds among the lagoons, pine forests and meadows. We will pass by the rice field and the largest stork colony in Europe. The marshes are home each year to 200,000 individuals of more than 300 species of birds, making this wetland the most important on the continent.
We will continue our route in a 4×4 vehicle through the forest in the northern part of the natural area, and later we will visit the village of El Rocío, its chapel and the SEO observatory. After discovering this place we will go on foot to the palaces and paths of the Doñana National Park next to the La Rocina stream. After lunch we will arrive at the beach to get to know the largest dune system in our country. On the way back and taking advantage of the sunset we will go through the pine forest of El Abalario, an area where we can possibly see some of the large mammals of the Doñana Natural Area.
